    Donna Mae Steeples, 68, of Des Moines, formerly of Fort Madison, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

    Born April 1, 1939, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Robert J. and Georgia F. Hirstine Heidbreder Sr. On March 22, 1958, she married Ronald Thomas Steeples in Fort Madison.

    Mrs. Steeples was vice president of Wildlife Ridge Inc. and also was a homemaker.

    Survivors include her husband; four sons, Ronald A. Steeples of Burlington, Wis., Steven R. Steeples of Des Moines, Thomas A. Steeples of Albuquerque, N.M., and Charles R. Steeples of Ankeny; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nellie Rudd, Dorothy Ramsey and Pat Marshall, all of Fort Madison, Esther Womack of Denmark, and Sandra Howe of Ankeny; nieces; and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.

    Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

    The funeral for Mrs. Steeples will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glenn Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.

    A memorial has been established for Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
