    The will of Israel Alger, husbandman of Bridgewater, dated 12 March
    1755, presented 2 June 1755, names wife Abiel as executrix, she to
    have stock and moveables. No children mentioned.
    Abiel Bosworth, widow of Bridgewater, administratrix gave bond on
    estate of Jonathan Bosworth of Bridgewater dec. on 1 June 1767 with
    Daniel and Isaac Lathrop of Bridgewater as sureties.
    Abiel Ames, adminstratrix on the estate of Jonathan Bosworth late of
    Bridgewater, gave account 9 Oct. 1769.
    The will of Joseph Ames of Bridgewater, yeoman, dated 1 Dec. 1788,
    proved 7 June 1790, names wife Abiel to have "furniture she brought to
    me at the time or our interinarri- age." The will names daughter Olive
    Alger; dau. Phebe Howard; children of son Ebenezer Ames dec. namely
    Ambrose, Charles, Silence, Walter, William and Ebenezer; sons Elijah
    Ames and Nathaniel Ames; son Zephaniah Ames dec.; dau. Susanna
    Copeland; son Joseph Ames; daus. Bethia Fobes, Sarah Williams and
    Olive Alger; sons Fisk and James Ames.
    The will of Abial Ames of Bridgewater, dated 10 Nov. 1802, proved 3
    Oct. 1803, names son Jonathan Bosworth; sons James Ames, Fisk Ames;
    dau. Olive Alger, wife of Joseph; granddaughter Tiley Alger, daughter
    of Joseph to have my gold beads; daughter Sally Lothrop, wife of
    Barnabas; daughter Chloe Tolman, wife of Daniel; son Fisk Ames
    executor.

    "On 31 Aug. 1638 Nr. Richard Derby transferred his servant William Snow to Edward Dotey with William to serve 7 years longer. In the 1643 list of men able to bear arms he was a resident of Plymouth. In 1657
    William Snow was a Freeman in Bridgewater. In a deed dated 25 March 1667/8 (sic) William Snow of Bridgewater, husbandman, sold to Ephraim Tinkham of New Plym-outh, 1/3 part of a whole share of upland and meadow in Dartmouth which was granted by the court unto Peter Browne, a purchaser or old comer.

    On 7 Nov. 1679 William Snow of Bridgewater sold to John Brown all his one third of 25 acres of land, formerly of Peter Brown of Duxbury, wife Rebecca consented.

    The will of William Snow Senr. of Bridgewater, dated 9 March 1698/9, proved 4 March 1708, mentions wife (unnamed); sons Joseph and Benjamin; son William to maintain parents for life; daughters Mary,
    Lydia, Hannah and Rebecca."
