According to cousin Vere Ferguson (shortly before his death), Richard Cox
may not have been the natural father of Aldo Knot Cox. He stated that he
was told that the natural father was Newell Sapp. Possibly it was John G.
Stoneking who lived with Richard & Elizabeth prior to Richard's death.
Elizabeth married Mr. Stoneking just over a month after Richard's death.
Richard married Griffen, Elizabeth on 19 Apr 1840 in Rushville, Schuyler Co., Illinois, USA. Elizabeth was born in 1824; died on 12 Dec 1885 in Birmingham, Schuyler Co., IL; 2. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
