  1. 1.  Harvey, Bezar was born about 1770 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA (son of Harvey, Nathaniel and Hayward, Bethiah).

    Notes:

    Bezer, son of Nathaniel (3) Harvey, was born in Bridgewater, about 1770. He married, in Bridgewater, 1795, Ruth, daughter of John Carver. (See Carver.) After his marriage he settled in Leeds, formerly Livermore, Maine. Children: I. Columbus, married Esther Stafford; (second) the widow of his' brother Stillman. 2. Daniel, mentioned below. 3. Stillman, removed to Ohio; one of his three sons was governor of a western state. 4. Janet, married John Carver, her cousin. 5. Bethia, married Caleb Carver, brother of Janet's husband; she died of consumption eight months after her marriage.

    MARGARET WILLIS4 (Mary Brett3, Elihu2, William1), born Bridgewater September 15, 1704; married July 4, 1733, Nathaniel5 Harvey, son of Nathaniel4 (Thomas3, Thomas2, Thomas1) Harvey, who was born in Taunton about 1673, and was member of the First Military Company of Taunton in 1700. Nathaniel5 was born 1705-06, and died 1801, "aged 94." Elizabeth Willis married a Thomas Harvey, but conflicting records make it impossible to tell which Thomas it was. Probably she was grandmother of this Nathaniel. They lived in Bridgewater where their children were born.

    NOTE: THE STATMENT ABOVE THAT "PROBABLY SHE WAS THE GRANDMOTHER OF THE NATHANIEL" IS KNOWN TO BE INCORRECT. It is now widely accepted that Elizabeth Willis Married Thomas Harvey b. 1641 and she oul be a first cousin 2x removed in-law of Nathaniel.

    Nathaniel (2), son of Nathaniel (1) Harvey, was born in 1705, at Taunton. He married Margaret, daughter of John Willis, in 1733. He died at Bridgewater in 1801, aged ninety-six years. Children, born at Bridgewater: 1. David, born 1735; married Content Byram. 2. Nathaniel

In 1708 he was living in the North Purchase of Taunton, and was one of the petitioners for a new precinct. He married Susannah ---. His children settled at Bridgewater. Children: 1.     "Nathaniel Harvey has left behind him but very few traces. His wife's name was Susannah ; and she was one of the first persons who called for aid from the town. There was some controversy between Norton and Taunton relative to her legal residence; but in April, 1713, the Court of Sessions decided that Mr. Harvey and his wife were inhabitants of Norton, and their relations were ordered to give assistance to Susannah."
