    "William Bloyed was born in Scotland and settled on Eastern Shore of Maryland along with his wife Barsheba Lord. He was a sailor and received $25.00 per yr. In Maryland he worked all day for a peck of meal.His wife fished and if she caught no fish they had no meat. William moved to Ky by 1805 He purchased land, 225 acres on Little Brush Creek for 208 pounds, from William and Alice McMurtry.William had the first water corn mill built in Green Co,Ky. It was built by his son=in=law, William McMurtry. William and Barsheba had nine children . Three of them, Barsheba, Hester Ann, and Tobias, married brothers and sisters, children of William McMurtry. William McMurtry had two wives ,Deniza Rose and Alice. Do not know which wives was the mother of these children. William McMurtry's father was James McMurtry, will probated in Bedfford Co, Va in 1772. William Bloyd died in the spring of 1809 his will was probated in April 1809.William's children sold their land after his death and moved to Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois. Two sons remained in Green Co,Ky Stephen and William.

    In the 1810 U.S. Census, Keziah is living next door to her son, Stephen Bloyd & his family. Her name was sometimes spelled "Hezekiah".

    Keziah owned 75 acres of land when she died.

    She is mentioned in her husband William Bloyd's Will, the 1810 census which states she was b. 1765 and the 1828 tax list which was issued after her death.

    Lord-Goodwin.- York (Me.) Probate Registry, Iv. 34. "Oct. 21, 1755. Thomas Goodwin, of Berwick, Gent., aged 58 years, testifies that, about 26 years since, he was at the house of the Rev. Mr. Emerson, a minister of Portsmouth, & there saw Richd Lord, Jr. late of Berwick, eldest son of Capt. Richard Lord, of Berwick, deceased, joined in marriage with Mary Goodwin (the now wife of Mr. John Cooper, Jr., of the same Berwick), & the said Richd Lord Jr. & Mary Goodwin lived together, as man & wife, 5 or 6 years & had three childred: 2 sons & one daughter. The 2 sons are dead, & the daughter, Olive, the youngest of the three, is now the wife of Jona. Abbott, Jr., of Berwick.

    S'd Thomas Goodwin was a near neighbor to Capt. Richard Lord and knew Richd Lord, Jr., all his life. His 2 sons died young.

    Elizabeth Gray testified to the truth of above, adding that the oldest son of Richard Lord, Jr., & Mary Goodwin was Daniel, and the second son was Richard. Both died young & unmarried." E. S. T.
