    “She was a native of the Patawomeck Tribe. The Patawomeck Tribe (aka Potomac Tribe) formed in the 1600's along the Potomac River in Stafford County. In the 1600's there was a population of about 800 natives. Today, there is an estimated 150 mixed bloods still residing in the region. Chief Japasaw was the leader of the tribe, and brother to Chief Powhatan, father of Pocahontas. Pocahontas' mother was a member of the Patawomeck Tribe.”

Whereas Robert Gollop in his life time during the coverture between him & Elinor .. seized of tract in King George granted unto BRYAN FOLEY & him by deed from Proprietor's 24th February MDCCXIV/XV wherein the said Elinor is by Law intituled to her Dower .. upon death of Robert Gollop .. land to be vested in his four Daughters vizt. Mary, Anne, Elinor & Phillis .. three of whom with JAMES BRISSEE, RICHARD ELKINS & ROBERT DUNCOM their several husbands sold to said George James ..
