| Notes |
Moved from Buckfield to W. Auburn, ME
About 1818 he settled in Buckfield, ME. He appears to have built or purchased a house and shop on the Hartford Road, on the north side of the river. In the autumn of that year he purchased of James Jewett, the land on which these building were situated. For many years, he carried on the business of a hatter in this shop. (Des. of Samuel by Wight says tall beaver hats).
