Elezer and his wife, Mary moved west. The last child was born October 1768 and Elezer married second June 9, 1769 to Mary Woodbury. I assume that his first wife and the mother of the children died, probably about the time the last child was born. Elezer and wife, Mary Richards had settled in that part of then State of Vermont which was found later at the settlement of the boundary between the US and Canada to be in Canada. In his travels westward it is evident that Elezer was a time in Hardwick, MA as the History of this town (page 432)states that Elezer married after Mercy or Mary's death, Miss Mary Woodbury. This marriage is recorded Hardwick vr June 9, 1769(page 270).
The 1790 census places him in Leverett. Elezer was one of the Minute Men of Princeton according to the History of Princeton. He answered the Lexington Alarm and he also enlisted for eight months for the Seige of Boston. He lived near the shores of Lake Memphremagog in Stanstead, Quebec, Canada.
