Notes from Frances M. Angst-Robertson:
Birth, baptism confirmed by the Wil Church records held on microfilm by the LDS Family Histor y Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Death record from Appanoose County Clerk's office. Buried in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Shar on Township, Appanoose, Iowa.
He, his parents and 2 brothers Jakob and Konrad (Conrad) came to the U. S. A. in January of 1 856. Family stories say they came over on a cattle boat and he was peeling potatoes with a k nife and the ship hit a storm and he poked an eye out with the knife.
