Theo E. Seyb
PRETTY PRAIRIE - Theo E. Seyb, 94, died Nov. 20, 2007, at the Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born May 25, 1913, at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of J.B. and Bertie Chick Willis. A resident of the Varner and Pretty Prairie communities most of her life, she was a homemaker and a former telephone operator.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the UMW, the EHU, and the Social Hour Club, all of Pretty Prairie.
On April 22, 1935, she married Orlan H. Seyb at Pretty Prairie; he died Dec. 23, 1989. Survivors include: 2 sons, John and his wife, Jo Ann, and Mike and his wife, Diane, all of Pretty Prairie; 2 daughters, Nancy Royer and her husband Jerry, Pretty Prairie, and Mary Graber and her husband Bruce, El Dorado; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Willis, and 4 sisters, Maurine McCubbin, Eugenia Platt, Alma Jane McPheeters and Margaret Thayer.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, with Pastor Marilyn Christmore presiding. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie.
Memorials may be made to the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church and Prairie Sunset Home, both in care of the Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
