  • Notes
    • William Taylor, son of Marshal and Fidelia Taylor was born in the state of Indiana, Oct. 6, 1849 and departed this life at the home of his son, Marshal Taylor, near Glenwood, Mo., Oct. 22, 1936, at the age of 87 years and 16 days.

At the age of four years, he came with his parents to Schuyler County where he resided. He was united in marriage to Sarah McCartney, March 17, 1873. To this union four children were born; one little girl died in infancy; Henry Campbell died Sept. 4, 1879; William Mackafee died May 1887. He leaves one son, Marshal Taylor and wife and two grandchildren, Henry Marshal and Robert Lavern Taylor to mourn his departure. He also leaves four sisters, Mary Whitmore of Colorado, Malvina Griffey, Liza Mulvaine and Frances McDonald all of Princeton, Mo. He had just returned from visiting his sisters a few days ago in Princeton. All four sisters are past 80 years of age. His wife preceded him in death June 14, 1934. His illness was short and he passed peacefully away in his sleep. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by all his friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Bethel church, Friday, Oct. 23, 1936, with Robert Seath of Lancaster, Mo. officiating. Interment was in Bethel cemetery beside his wife.
