MANHATTAN, KAN. - Jane Currin Kuhn, age 82, of Manhattan, Kan., died Nov. 18, 2004, at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan. She was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Henderson, N.C., the daughter of Fleming B. and Alma Lee (Falkner) Currin, and moved to Manhattan in 2000 from Newport News, Va. She was a generous and devoted mother and homemaker and an avid sports fan who continued to enjoy tennis and golf through age 80. Survivors include two sons, David Richard 'Rick' Kuhn of Columbia, Md., and his children, Gary, Christine, and Kevin; William Beasley 'Bill' Kuhn and his wife, Anne, of Manhattan; their father, Richard E. Kuhn of San Diego, Calif.; and one sister, Page Chambers of Newport News with her children, Gail, Larry, and Barbara Ann. She was preceded in death by one brother, Fleming Currin Jr., who is survived by his children, Jackie and Fleming. Funeral services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 1209 Country Club Road, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, by Dr. Brenda J. Biler with interment to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
