      Nola Robbins, 85, Keosauqua

      — KEOSAUQUA — Nola J. Robbins, 85, of Keosauqua, died at 6:20 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua.
      She was born March 6, 1922 near Keosauqua to Joel and Frankie Huston Hervey. She married Harold Robbins who proceeded her in death. She grew up in the Center Chapel neighborhood southeast of Keosauqua, graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1940, lived most of her adult life in Mt. Sterling and Farmington and moved to Keosauqua in 2002.
      Surviving are two daughters, Caroline Bailey and husband, Mike of Keosauqua and Connie Singer and husband, Bill of Fairfield, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Doris Robbins of Keosauqua. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kenneth Robbins, two brothers and four sisters.
      Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, with Dale DeWitt officiating. In accord with her wishes there will be no public visitation and the casket will remain closed. The family will receive friends at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge Room, Keosauqua following the service. Memorials to Farmington EMT’s or Harness Cemetery may be left at the funeral home, brought to the service or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 266, Keosauqua, Ia. 52565. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, is in charge of the arrangements.

      Nola Robbins

      Nola J. Robbins, 85, of Keosauqua died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

      Born March 6, 1922, near Keosauqua, she was the daughter of Joel and Frankie Huston Hervey. She married Harold Robbins. He preceded her in death.

      She was a 1940 graduate of Keosauqua High School.

      Survivors include two daughters, Caroline Bailey of Keosauqua and Connie Singer of Fairfield; five grandchildren and 10 great–grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, four sisters and two brothers.

      Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling, with Dale DeWitt officiating. There will be no public visitation, however, the family will receive friends following the service.

      Memorials have been established for Farmington EMTs and Harness Cemetery.
