    • AUDREY COBB ROMAN
      Married to Carl Roman Sept, 2, 1950.After a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, NY,we left Jermyn, Pa. for Dunellen,NJ living with my Aunt Esther for two months and giving us time to locate an apartment in North Plainfield, NJ. Our first son Carl Allen was born June 10, 1953.When Carl Allen was eighteen months oldI decided to seek employment.My mother and Aunt Esther were driving one Sunday afternoon and stopped at a model home in Piscataway,NJMom said to Esther that this would be a nice home for Audrey and Carl.All I can say is that I fell in love with this model home;cathedral ceilings in the living room, dining room and kitchen, with three bedrooms. I remember saying to Carl that if we bought this house I would never ask for anything else...( Boy, was that an untrue statement ). We were able to move into our first and only home on Nov.5,1954.Since then we made numerous improvements.
      We have two other sons Dale, born April 18th 1957, and Douglas, born June 19th, 1962.Our sons are in the computer field. They were always available if and when their Dad needed help around our home. The boys kept in touch or ask for advice with fixing their cars, or any problems, etc.,knowing that we would be there for them and their families.I have been involved in church work, teaching a Sunday class for children, a church historian, preparing annual reports for the general church, and for several years a womens' leader for my church.As of the present time I am still involved in my R.L.D.S. church.
      Carl and I enjoy traveling our United States. With our van we have visited Arizona, California, Utah, Colorado, Carolinas, and Florida at our leisure time enjoying the beauty of our great country.
