  Cindy Jo Schowalter: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice Hutchinson News, The (KS) - July 16, 2009 Deceased Name: Cindy Jo Schowalter KANSAS CITY - Cindy Jo Schowalter, 56, of Kansas City, Ks. She went to be with her Savior after a short illness on July 12th 2009. Cindy was born on December 12th, 1952 in Newton, Ks. to Aldine & Esther Schowalter of Burrton, Ks. Cindy was a 1970 graduate of Burrton High School. She was owner & operator of Sweet Land of Fantasy Located in Kansas City, Ks. She used her decorating talents making and baking all kinds of sweets. She catered many wedding cakes. Survivors are: her son, Travis and his wife Suzanne Schowalter of Overland Park, Ks. Her mother Esther Schowalter of Burrton, Ks. and brother Bruce Schowalter of Roeland Park, Ks. She is preceded in death by her father Aldine Schowalter and a sister Judy Lynn Schowalter. Cindy also leaves many relatives, friends and clients. Cremation has taken place. A gravesite memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. on July 17th 2009 at West Zion Cemetery located at Moundridge, Ks. with Pastor Jim Dunn officiating. She will be greatly missed.
