  The Burlington Hawkeye - Iola Spohnheimer Iola Spohnheimer, 90, of Donnellson died at 7:55 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at West Point Care Center. Born May 16, 1920, in Donnellson, she was the daughter of Hugo and Matilda Krebill Lowenberg. On June 2, 1946, she married Victor Spohnheimer in Donnellson. He died Sept. 20, 2010. Mrs. Spohnheimer was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Mennonite Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Petersen of Altoona and Mary Spohnheimer of Donnellson; one son, John Spohnheimer of Carrollton, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Orien Lowenberg and Maurine Krebill, both of Donnellson; one brother, Don Lowenberg of Hot Springs, Ark.; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated. The memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be in Zion Mennonite Cemetery near Donnellson. Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson is in charge of arrangements.
