OTTUMWA – Mabel Eileen Coyne, 78, of Ottumwa, died November 6, 2021 at her home.
She was born March 24, 1943 in Ottumwa to Irvin and Allie Eakins Shepherd. She married Ronald Coyne April 17, 1965.
A 1961 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Eileen worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Foursquare Evangelistic Church.
Surviving is her husband, Ron; their children, Tammy (Larry) Bergman of Booneville, MO, Angela (Amir) Rahimi of Centerville, Diana Six of Ottumwa, Ginger (Rob) Lobaugh of Ottumwa, Ronald Coyne of Ottumwa and Beth (Rob) Wiley of Keosauqua; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many others who knew her as "grandma”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Harry Earl Shepherd, Ivan Laurice Shepherd, Carl Shepherd, Ralph Shepherd and Ron Shepherd; a sister, Icle Brisendine and an infant sister, Irene Shepherd.
Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Thursday, November 11th at Reece Funeral Home with her family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 12th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Garry Shepherd officiating. For those unable to attend the service, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Ormanville Cemetery
Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Society -Hospice in Ottumwa.
