Davis Davis, Herbert -Cyril-, 89, a Ft. Lauderdale pioneer & lifetime resident died Friday, March 16, 2007. Cyril was a long time employee of the City of Ft. Lauderdale as a surveyor, following in the footsteps of his father, the late Herbert Davis, the 1st County Engineer of Broward County. You could usually find Cyril at Lester-s Diner at dinnertime. Survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Richard -Slugger- & Sharon Davis of Wilton Manors, granddaughter, Kimberly Kneer and great-granddaughter, Brooke Kneer both of Coconut Creek. His family will remember him at a gathering at the family home on Monday at 6 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his name to the VFW.
