      Alfred Schau
      Alfred Wayne Schau, 77, of Donnellson, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at Donnellson Health Center.
      Born May 28, 1928, in Primrose, he was the son of Herman and Anna Rohdy Schau. He married Lois Wolfe on April 23, 1950, in Donnellson.
      Mr. Schau was a retired carpenter and farmer in the Primrose and Donnellson area.
      He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Rod & Gun Club. He served as a 4-H leader for many years and enjoyed playing pool, bowling, hunting and fishing.
      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven Wayne Schau of Primrose and Daniel Ray Schau of Atlanta; two daughters, Julie Diane Westfall of Donnellson and Christine Annette Jarvis of Fort Madison; one brother, Forrest Schau of Primrose; two sisters, Pauline Therme of Keosauqua and Dorothy Denly of Kahoka, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
      He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
      Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
      The funeral for Mr. Schau will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Donnellson, with the Rev. Richard Schau officiating. Burial will be in the Primrose Cemetery.
      Memorials have been established for the Rod & Gun Club and the 4-H Youth Center at Lee County Fairgrounds in Donnellson.
