    • Stanley Randolph - The Burlington Hawkeye

      Stanley L. Randolph, 80, formerly of Bonaparte, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Columbus Junction Nursing Home.

      Born March 11, 1929, near Bonaparte, he was the son of Jake and Mary Randolph. On May 25, 1950, he married Tracy Johnson.

      Mr. Randolph taught for the Army at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Ala., before retiring. He had been an electrical engineer in the Air Force, then returned to farming near the Bonaparte and Bentonsport area in the 1950s. He also worked for the Department of Defense at the Army ammunition plant in Middletown.

      Survivors include his wife of Fort Madison; five children, David Randolph of Bonaparte, Rosemary Randolph of Mount Vernon, John Randolph of Chapel Hill, Tenn., Jim Randolph of Des Moines and Susan Krebill of Donnellson; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Randolph of Bonaparte.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two grandchildren.

      His ashes will be put to rest at the Keokuk National Cemetery.
