      Glenna S. Rule 1929—2016
      Glenna S. Rule, 87, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Born October 31, 1929, in Bellevue, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Mary Stuart. Glenna married Robert Duane Rule on August 29, 1948, in Bellevue; they shared 57 years of marriage. Glenna was a member of First Assembly for many years. She enjoyed oil painting, golfing and playing cards with friends. Glenna and her husband, Robert were snowbirds, spending half of the year in Fountain Hills, Arizona. She was also active with the Rockford Art Guild and PEO Chapter CJ. She will be dearly missed. Survived by her children, John (Teresa) Rule of Davenport, Iowa and Romalee (Stan) Tumilowicz of Rockford; grandchildren, Johnathan (Nicole) Rule, Chad (Gina) Weatherford and Amy Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Kennedi and Aiden; several cousins and one nephew. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert in 2005; in-laws; 8 brothers and sisters; and grandson, Scott Rule.
      Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue, with a brief service at 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bellevue, Iowa.
