"He owned a large farm in West Bridgewater, his house standing 100 rods south-west of the " Abiezer Alger House." Previous to the war of the Revolution, he held a lieutenant's commission in the local militia of Bridgewater. For some years he filled the office of selectman, and was frequently chosen moderator of the annual town meetings. He was a large, well-proportioned man, over six feet in height. He possessed a social disposition, and was fond of argument."

of Amos; Parnal and James Keith; granddaughter Olive Dunbar; sons.
Abiezer and James; Abiezer executor.
No Plymouth Co. PR for Martha Alger.: 3 additional children died in infancy.

"... They were burried on the hill near his house. Mr. Alger resided in the West Parish of Bridgewater. He had a large farm, and his house was about one hundred rods south west of the late Albiezer Alger's house. He was a lieutenent in the local militia of Bridgewater. For several years he was a selectman, and frequently was call to fill the postion of moderator at the town meetings. He was a large, well proportioned man, over six feet in height, and of a social disposition and fond of an argument."
