Byron Willard Hervey, 80, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Keosauqua, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.
Born June 22, 1930, in Scotland County, Mo., he was the son of Willard and Opal Wolf Hervey. On March 30, 1948, he married Florencie Ewing. They divorced. In 1997, he married Marion Swank.
Mr. Hervey worked 46 years as a farm implement dealer in Keosauqua. He was a member of Keosauqua Fire Department, Keosauqua City Council and Van Buren Flying Club.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marshia Mosena of Bella Vista, Ark., and Kathy Horn of Fairfield; two sons, Randy Hervey and Kevin Hervey, both of Keosauqua; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Shirley Hightshoe of Mount Ayr; two stepsons, Steve Swank of Maloy and Kenneth Swank of Monett, Mo.; four stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, his parents, his stepfather and one sister.
No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated.
The memorial service for Mr. Hervey will be at a later date. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery in rural Keosauqua.
A memorial has been established for Center Chapel Cemetery.
Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is in charge of arrangements.
