Nicholas Stoner, son of Henry Stoner & Catherine Barnes, died 11/24/1853. He was a Fifer in Colonel James Livingston's Regiment. Was in the battle of Bermis Heights. Buried on Soldiers Plot in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville, Fulton County, New York. Inscription on Stoner's Headstone "Revolutionary Soldier Nicholas Stoner veteran 1776-1812, died 11-24-1853, age 92.

D. A. R. of Washington, D. C. confirmed John Stoner was one of Nicholas Stoner's son.
