Services will be Monday, March 4, 2002 for Joan Krebill, at the age of 57, who died Feb. 28, 2002 in Santa Cruz, CA following a six year battle with cancer. Born in Seattle, WA, she was a long time resident of Bellingham. Mrs. Krebill attended WWU and received her B.S. and M.S. in Psychology there. She was the former Director for The Coalition for Child Advocacy in Bellingham.
She and her family moved to the Santa Cruz area in 1986. She was employed with Bank of America and as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch in Santa Cruz. She served for a term as president of the Scotts Valley Exchange Club and she and her husband attended Bonny Doon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Norman R. Krebill of Santa Cruz her son and daughter-in-law, Norman C. Krebill and Danielle Krebill of San Jose, sons Peter G. Krebill of Santa Clara, CA and Jeffery D. Krebill of Soda Springs, CA her sister, Adele D. Jonasson of Bellingham her three grandchildren, Kira C. Krebill, Kinsey J. Krebill and Brennan J. Krebill, and her nephews, Hudson Allard and Sam Allard of Bellingham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Bingham Cashel and Mary Spalding Cashel.
Services will be Monday, March 4 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz beginning at 1:30pm. Committal services will follow at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Sunday from 11AM until 5PM. Remembrances may be made to Stanford Medical Center/Dept. of Nuclear Medicine, 300 Pasteur Dr. Stanford, CA. 94305, Rm. H-0101.
