He was born November 4, 1938 in Iowa City to Wayne M and Hazel Murphy Hervey. He married Shirley Weaver. They were divorced. He married Donna Bicker Livesay March 13, 1993 at New Hartford, MO.
He graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army 1956-1959 including service in Korea.
He and wife currently manage University Manor Apartments in Cedar Falls.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Deborah DeWitt of Bonaparte and Rita Hayes of Keosauqua, two sons, Terry Hervey of Birmingham and Ronald Hervey of Pulaski + (several step children).
His parents and an infant brother, Maynard preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Monday, January 3, 2000 at Center Chapel Church southeast of Keosauqua. Burial was in Center Chapel Cemetery.
