Hazel Lucille Bentrim, 86, of Burlington, died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born May 3, 1921, in rural Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Robert and Georgia Hierstein Heidbreder.
Ms. Bentrim worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. in Fort Madison and Riley Brothers Oil Co. in Burlington.
She was a lifetime member of Burlington Gym Ladies Auxiliary and the West Hill Methodist Church in Burlington.
Survivors include three daughters, Jackie DeFrates, Diana Brown and Connie Ruschmeyer all of Burlington; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six sisters, Nellie Rudd and Dorothy Ramsey of Fort Madison, Esther Womack of Denmark, Pat Marshall of Arbela, Mo., Sandy Howe of Ankeny and Donna Steeples of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by one son, two grandchildren, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
No visitation has been planned.
The graveside funeral for Ms. Bentrim will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating.
