Merle George Vogts, 81, Kansas City, Kan., died May 3, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice.
Mr. Vogts was born in McPherson County, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Vogts, of the home; two sons, Keith Vogts and Timothy Vogts, both of KCK; three daughters, Connie Howell and Bernice Lehmann, both of KCK and Carol Lillich, Shawnee, Kan.; one brother, William Vogts, Canton, Kan.; one sister, Bernice Wilson, Liberal, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
