    Myron E. "Mike" Leslie Myron E. "Mike" Leslie of St. George Village, Roswell, GA, formerly of West Chester, PA, and Wayne, PA, died peacefully on May 19th, 2013. Survivors: He was the husband of Jeanne Farrington Leslie with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Robin Chalk of Alpharetta, GA, Susan Raebeck of Wainscott, NY, Laurie Finlayson of Renton, WA, and Elizabeth Kohl of Athol, ID, fifteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He attended Pomona College in California and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, in 1950. Mike served during the Korean War on board the anti-aircraft light cruiser Juneau (CLAA-119) known as the "Galloping Ghost of the Korean Coast." He later served on the destroyer Conway (DDE-509) on the East Coast. He also taught Rules of the Nautical Road and Emergency Ship Handling at the Fleet Training Center in Newport, RI. After his Naval service, he worked at the Heintz Manufacturing Company in Philadelphia, followed by Potts-Farrington Co., a steel service center, and Fanning Schuet Engineering Co. In 1967 he became the owner of Hussong-Walker-Davis Company, a textile-dyeing machinery company, which he introduced to the bulk materials handling field. Mike invented a skein-dyeing machine that resulted in dramatically decreasing the dyeing time required. These machines were used in the carpet and thread industries in this country and overseas. He was a former elder at Church of the Savior and at Living Oaks Community Church both of Wayne, PA, was a member of Proclamation Presbyterian Church of Bryn Mawr, PA, and was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA. Mike was a member of The U.S. Naval Institute, The Navy League, the Naval Academy Alumni and Athletic Association, a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and former member of the Union League of Philadelphia. Memorial Service: will be held on Saturday, June 1, 10:00AM, in the St. George Village auditorium (11350 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075). In lieu of flowers: Donations may be sent to Hope Presbyterian Church, 4101 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA, 30066.

    David Leslie Finlayson was born March 20, 1988 in Ventura, California and died while training with the Marines he loved on November 7, 2013. He was 25. From an early age, he was interested in the military. In high school, he joined the JROTC Drill Team at Kentwood, which placed first in the Northwest Drill and Rifle Conference Championships in 2005. David was awarded the Best Armed Drill Cadet in 2005. David became an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouting, and graduated from Kentridge High School in 2006.

    Inspired by a desire to serve after 9/11, David pursued a career in criminal justice. His character was recognized and he was recommended to Kemper Development for private security work. David worked there for five years while earning his AA degree from Bellevue College.

    On December 5, 2011, David fulfilled his dream by joining the Marine Corps. As Lance Corporal David Finlayson, he was highly regarded as an Assaultman in the First Battalion, Third Marine Regiment. He always hit his target. He will be remembered as someone who could take any difficult situation and turn it into a great story.

    David is survived by his parents, John and Laurie Finlayson, brother Thomas Finlayson, sister-in-law Karissa, niece Katlin, grandmothers Jeanne Leslie and Clare Finlayson, and his long-time girlfriend of three years, Taryn Hauglie. He is predeceased in rest by his grandfathers, Mike Leslie and Tom Finlayson.
