BELLEVUE, Iowa -- Donald "Nippy" Stuart, 85, of Bellevue, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bellevue, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 273. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home until procession to the church.
He was born on March 5, 1923, in Bellevue, son of Rodney and Elsie (Jones) Stuart. He married Madonna Lampe on Sept. 5, 1944, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Donald was a World War II veteran who served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
He was a hardworking man who was a carpenter for more than 70 years. He was a mentor to many in the community.
He was a member of the Bellevue Fire Department and the American Legion Post 273.
Donald was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed hunting rattlesnakes. He will be deeply missed.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Madonna; four children, Pam (Dick) Cheney, of Dubuque, Paula (Chuck) Prada, of Viera, Fla., Portia Holloway, of Bellevue, and Sheila (Mark) Kelley, of Platteville, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Christina and Christopher Cheney, Charles (Alison) and Andrew Prada, Matthew Holloway, Stephen, Jenna, Bridget and Samantha Kelley; and two greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Lyman Stuart; and four sisters, Louise Sanders, Gwendalyn Jess, Katherine Davis and June Williams.

Glenna S. Rule 1929-2016
Glenna S. Rule, 87, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Born October 31, 1929, in Bellevue, Iowa, the daughter of Victor and Mary Stuart. Glenna married Robert Duane Rule on August 29, 1948, in Bellevue; they shared 57 years of marriage. Glenna was a member of First Assembly for many years. She enjoyed oil painting, golfing and playing cards with friends. Glenna and her husband, Robert were snowbirds, spending half of the year in Fountain Hills, Arizona. She was also active with the Rockford Art Guild and PEO Chapter CJ. She will be dearly missed. Survived by her children, John (Teresa) Rule of Davenport, Iowa and Romalee (Stan) Tumilowicz of Rockford; grandchildren, Johnathan (Nicole) Rule, Chad (Gina) Weatherford and Amy Weatherford; great-grandchildren, Kennedi and Aiden; several cousins and one nephew. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert in 2005; in-laws; 8 brothers and sisters; and grandson, Scott Rule.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue, with a brief service at 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bellevue, Iowa. Wesley Williams, 66 of Brooksville passed away January 26, 2011 at home.
He was born in Bellevue, Iowa and came here 15 years ago from Fort Lauderdale.
Wesley is predeceased by his parents; Fred and June Williams, and survived by his daughter; Tammy Quinn (Joe) of Brooksville, son; Wesley Williams, Jr. of Brooksville, grand-daughter; MacKenzie Quinn and grandson; Keegan Quinn both of Brooksville. He retired from Broward County Sheriff Department and moved to Brooksville to be close to his family. He was an avid rider of his beloved Harley-Davidson. He loved spending time with his grandchildren on the weekends who affectionally referred to him as "Gee". He was a fan of NASCAR, Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Hurricanes. He was an amazing man, father, grandfather, and friend who was loved and cared about by many people

Lynn Stuart, 51, formerly of Bellevue, died suddenly of a massive heart
attach Sunday morning, July 6, at Brookings, Ore.
Stuart had been city manager at Brookings since Dec. 1, 1980. He was
teaching planning and zoning, and design and construction at Rogue Community College
in Grants Pass when he was hired by the Brookings City Council.
Stuart was born Nov. 21, 1934 at Bellevue to Art and Marie Stuart. He
studied engineering at Wartburg College, Waverly and also took engineering courses
at Arizona State University in Tempe, Az. He spent two years in the US Signal
Corps. Before going to Oregon he served as city manager of Gilbert, Az. for
seven years and also worked with the city of Scottsdale, Az.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Louise, of Brookings;a son Joseph Lee
Stuart, of Chandler, Az. one grandchild, his mother Marie Stuart of Bellevue; and
one sister, Mrs. Keith (Joan) Mithelman of Norway, Iowa. He was preceded in
death by his father.
