      Gabriel* Dutcher (Roelof, No. 12, Jan, No. 3, Willem, No. 1), b. 2 Feb., 1720 (bap. Athens, N. Y.); m. Dec., 173- Salisbury,
Conn., Elizabeth Knickerbocker, bap. 7 Jan., 1722 (K., 2952); d. 23 April, 1793, in her 73d year (Dover, Dutchess Co., N. Y.); dau. of Cornelis Knickerbocker (see 39 N. Y. Gen., 1 21-12 2). Gabriel in 1742 was taxed on ^74 at Weatogue, Conn. {History of Litchfield Co., Conn., 521). De Duytscher Genealogy (Whittemore) contains many gossipy references, but is erroneous. Gabriel was a farmer, and returned to Dutchess Co., N. Y., and later, after his wife's death, lived with his son John, No. 333, in Cherry Valley,
