Funeral service for Glen Richard Rodgers, 77, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, 3/21/2008, in the chapel of Sevier funeral home. Glen Richard Rodgers was born 3/25/1930 in Anadarko, OK., the son of Henry Columbus & Dora Ellen (Green) Rodgers, and died Monday, 3/17/2008, at his home in Chickasha. Glen grew up around Cement, with many brothers and sisters. He left home at an early age and headed west. Eventually, he came back to Oklahoma and went to work in the oil field. After 20 plus years in the oil field, he became a general contractor. He worked, up until the time of his illness, with his sons and sons-in-law. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Mary Rodgers (Ferguson), 1 daughter, Cynthia Anne Matlock, 5 brothers, Carroll, Ralph, Henry David, Wilburn Lewis, and Charles, 1 sister, Marguarite Hutchins. Survivors include his wife, Deloris Rodgers (Reynolds) of the home, 8 children, Steven Rodgers of Chickasha, Connie Lile of Dibble, Gayle Elliott of Rush Springs, Stacy Rodgers of Kentucky, Scott Douglas of Cache, Tammy Monroe of Chickasha, Jeff Douglas of Chickasha & Linda Long of Tuttle, 1 brother, George Rodgers of Chickasha, 1 sister, Imogene Coulson of California, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home.
